Our Instructors

Luke Hedberg

CFI, CFII
Luke Hedberg began his aviation career as an Aerospace Engineer at Honeywell. During his time managing a project line for manufacturing aircraft engines, he earned his pilot licenses, starting with his first at FlightWorks. Leveraging his experience, Luke founded his own flight training company, which eventually led him to a role with a military contractor providing fighter pilot training to U.S. Air Force allies. This position culminated in a prominent role as the Chief Pilot for initial flight training on the Cirrus SR22 Turbo. Additionally, Luke spent three years as a part-time private jet first officer, flying small jets alongside airline pilots. He has also managed private aircraft, brokered aircraft purchases, and helped establish a charter certificate. Luke’s diverse education and background offer a unique, personalized learning experience tailored to each student.

Clear blue skies and world class destination

The skies above the Arizona desert are always blue, and the Scottsdale area is a mecca for shopping, dining, and recreation, with more than 200 golf courses within its boundaries.

A pilot’s airport

Scottsdale Airport is a tower-controlled field at the base of the McDowell Mountains. It’s the area’s favored field for corporate jets and private aircraft, and provides a great training environment within the greater Scottsdale/Phoenix air space.
